Leonardo Bonacci (c. 1170 to c. 1240-50), commonly known as Fibonacci, was an Italian mathematician from the Republic of Pisa and was considered the most talented Western mathematician of the Middle Ages. A Fibonacci sequence is a sequence in which each element is the sum of the two elements that precede it.
